WASHINGTOn -- Rep. John Dingell, a Democrat from Michigan, was hospitalized at George Washington University Hospital, according to the Detroit News. Dingell's staff confirmed to MarketWatch he was admitted this morning but said he is currently resting comfortably. Dingell, 88, is the longest serving member of Congress who is stepping down at the end of the current session.
