It's 5 o'clock somewhere: Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville eatery opening in Syracuse next week

One of the snowiest cities in the nation is getting a taste of the tropics with the opening of a Jimmy Buffett-themed restaurant.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (http://bit.ly/1JKBlFq ) that Margaritaville will open Monday at the Destiny USA shopping mall in Syracuse.

It's the latest eatery and entertainment venue of the more than two dozen Margaritaville complexes Buffett has helped to open in U.S. and international resort destinations. The business is operated by Laguna Niguel, California-based Margaritaville Enterprises.

The 12,000-square-foot restaurant in Syracuse, located on Destiny USA's third floor, will employ 200.

The chain is named for Buffett's 1977 hit song in which he sings about "wasting away again in Margaritaville." He opened his first Margaritaville bar and restaurant in Key West, Florida, in 1987.
