House Rejects Obama’s Trade Bill
Breaking news from Washington: A big failure as the House of Representatives voted to kill a key component of President Obama’s Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal on Friday. While most Republicans liked the deal, many Democrats did not. The White House called it a legislative procedural snag, and believes the deal is not dead. House leaders plan to vote again early next week.
Meanwhile, the three major U.S. indices ended the last trading session of the week in the red.
For the week, both the Dow and S&P ended in the green-- only the Nasdaq closed in the red.
