House Approves Bill Seeking To Block Obama's Immigration Orders

The House of Representatives approved a bill on Thursday that would block President Barack Obama's recent executive orders on immigration. The bill isn't expected to go farther, however: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said his chamber won't consider it. The House's bill would declare Obama's move to defer deportations and grant work permits to millions of immigrants illegally in the U.S. "null and void." The House's vote was 219 to 197.
