Hillary Clinton Says She's Sorry For Using Private Email
Hillary Clinton said Tuesday it was a "mistake" to use a personal email account while she was secretary of state and that she is "sorry" for doing so. "I'm sorry about that. I take responsibility," the Democratic presidential front-runner told ABC News. Her statement comes after declining to apologize directly for the personal email use in a separate interview last week. Clinton's use of private email has grown into a major issue in the 2016 campaign, hurting her trustworthiness numbers in polls.
