Greece's Varoufakis Rules Out a 'Grexit', Still Hopes For Deal

Greece Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis told a German newspaper that he would rule out a 'Grexit', or the country's exit from the euro zone, because it's not a "sensible solution." But he also said "no one can rule out everything. I can't even rule out a comet hitting earth," according to media reports of an interview with German Bild newspaper. Talks between Greece and its European creditors collapsed over the weekend, and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is believed to be putting all his cards getting a better deal out of European leaders at a Brussels summit June 25. The International Monetary Fund halted its own talks with Greece last week. Varoufakis told the newspaper that his country could reach a deal with creditors quickly if there was a restructuring and if German Chancellor Angela Merkel was part of talks. He added that Greece doesn't want any more money, as it has been given "far too much" already.
