Greece Formally Requests Loan Extension
Greece has submitted a formal request for a loan extension, Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem said Thursday. Greece is asking for a six-month extension, Dijsselbloem wrote on a post to Twitter. Senior eurozone finance ministers were expected to discuss the request at a meeting Thursday. Greece has been making a distinction between a loan agreement and its bailout program, which is scheduled to end later this month.
