Grains lower, livestock higher
Grain futures were lower Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Dec. delivery was up 2.40 cents at $4.4540 a bushel; Dec corn lost 1 cent 3.4840 a bushel; December oats lost 1.40 cents at $2.4960 a bushel while Nov. soybeans was unchanged at $9.5520 a bushel.
Beef higher and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was up .20 cent at $1.0930 a pound; October feeder cattle was up .60 cent at $1.5303 a pound; October lean hogs was up .73 cent at $.6060 a pound.
