Grain mostly higher on the CBOT, beef and pork lower on the CME

CHICAGO – Grain futures were mostly higher in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 5 cents to $4.9860 a bushel; December corn was 4 cents higher at $3.83 a bushel; December oats were 1 cent lower at $2.4420 bushel; while November soybeans gained 12 cents to 9.5420 cents a bushel.

Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was .25 cent lower at $1.4795 a pound; August feeder cattle was .23 cent lower at $2.1373 a pound; October lean hogs lost .88 cent to $.6648 a pound.
