Grain futures were higher in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for September delivery rose 6.25 cents to $5.1660 a bushel; December corn was 11.5 cents higher at $3.9520 a bushel; December oats were 5.50 cents higher at $2.4960 bushel; while November soybeans gained 16 cents to 9.7920 cents a bushel.

Beef mixed and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was .73 cent higher at $1.4925 a pound; August feeder cattle was .13 cent lower at $2.1400 a pound; October lean hogs gained .20 cent to $.6433 a pound.
