Grain lower the CBOT, cattle higher and pork lower on the CME

CHICAGO – Grain futures were higher Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec delivery was 5.75 cents higher at $4.80 a bushel; Dec corn was 1 cent higher at $3.24 a bushel; Dec oats were unchanged at $3.2875 a bushel; while Nov soybeans advanced 2.75 cents to $9.13 a bushel.

Beef mixed and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Dec live cattle was .50 cent higher at $1.6260 pound; Oct feeder cattle was .10 cent lower at 2.3300 a pound; Dec lean hogs declined 1.87 cents to $.9260 a pound.
