Grain lower on the CBOT, cattle and pork lower on the CME

CHICAGO – Grain futures were mixed Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Mar delivery was 6.50 cents higher at $6.2975 a bushel; Mar corn was 1.75 cents higher at $4.0775 a bushel; Mar oats were unchanged at $3.14 a bushel; while Jan soybeans lost 4 cents at $10.1950 a bushel.

Beef and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Feb live cattle was 3.00 cents lower at $1.5575 pound; Jan feeder cattle was 3.00 cents lower at 2.1660 cent a pound; Feb lean hogs lost 2.07 cents to $.7960 a pound.
