Grain lower on the CBOT, beef lower, pork higher on the CME
Grain futures were mixed Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for September delivery was 6.25 cents higher at $5.23 a bushel; December corn was 1 cent lower at $4.1240 a bushel; December oats were .25 ceen higher at $2.4920 bushel; while November soybeans were 9.25 cents lower at 9.8620 cents a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was .03 cent lower at $1.4643 a pound; August feeder cattle was unchanged at $2.1238 a pound; October lean hogs lost .13 cent to $.6528 a pound.
