Grain lower on the CBOT, beef higher, pork higher on the CME
CHICAGO – Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Mar delivery was 6 cents lower at $5.1975 a bushel; Mar corn was 3.25 cents lower at $3.82 a bushel; Mar oats were unchanged at $2.8775 a bushel; while Mar soybeans lost 3.25 cents at $9.78 a bushel.
Beef was higher and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Apr live cattle was 1.78 cent higher at $1.4980 a pound; Mar feeder cattle was 1.9825 cents higher at $1.9825 a pound; Apr lean hogs gained 1.23 cents to $.6750 a pound.
