Grain higher on the CBOT, beef higher and pork lower on the CME
Grain futures were higher in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery gained 5.5 cents to $4.7375 a bushel; December corn was 2.5 cents higher at $3.7050 a bushel; December oats were 2.5 cents higher at 2.3575 a bushel; while November soybeans rose 5.25 cents to 8.7775 a bushel.
Beef was higher and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
December live cattle was .23 cent higher at $1.4530 a pound; October feeder cattle was .03 cent higher at $1.9860 a pound; December lean hogs lost .08 cent to $.6347 a pound.
