Gold Futures Climb Nearly 3% For The Week

Gold futures rose Friday to score a nearly 3% gain for the week, buoyed by a sharp drop in the U.S. dollar. April gold rose $15.60, or 1.3%, for the session to settle at $1,184.60 an ounce on Comex. The weekly gain was the first in three weeks.
