Gas prices drop 1 cent to an average $3.51 per gallon in Rhode Island

The price of gallon regular gasoline in Rhode Island has fallen slightly this week, to an average of $3.51.

In its weekly survey released Monday, AAA Southern New England says the price dropped 1 cent.

The price is now 21 cents lower than a year ago at this time, when gas was $3.72 per gallon.

AAA says the prices in Rhode Island are still 7 cents more than the national average of $3.44 per gallon.
