FTC Says Reynolds To Sell Four Brands To Imperial To Get Lorillard Merger Approved

The Federal Trade Commission said it's forcing Reynolds American and Lorillard to sell four cigarette brands as a condition for approving the $27.4 billion merger. The FTC says Reynolds will have to sell Winston, Kool, Salem, and Maverick to Imperial Tobacco . In addition, Reynolds will have to divest to Imperial the Lorillard manufacturing facilities in Greensboro, N.C. I The FTC voted 3-2 in favor of the order.
