Ford temporarily halts sales of new Edge SUV to repair flaw
Ford is temporarily halting sales of some Edge SUVs because water can leak inside and cause damage.
Ford began producing the new Edge in February. The issue involves Edges built before April 28.
Ford Motor Co. says around 19,000 SUVs potentially affected by the issue have already been sold to customers. Those customers have been notified.
Water can leak in through the doors and onto the dashboard and carpet. Potentially, the water could damage the vehicle's electronics.
Dealers will repair the flaw for free.
