Dan Borislow, inventor of voice-over-Internet magicJack device, dies at 52 in Florida
The man who invented the popular magicJack device has died in Florida. He was 52.
MagicJack Vocaltec Ltd. says in a statement that Dan Borislow died Monday.
MagicJack pioneered phone calls over the Internet, advertised as a means of "eliminating your monthly phone bill forever." The device became available in thousands of stores.
More than 10 million have been sold.
Borislow was also well known for his ties to horse racing and women's professional soccer.
