Czech Republic to start screen passengers for Ebola at Prague's international airport

The Czech prime minister says the country will introduce screening of passengers at the capital's international airport in efforts to prevent the spread of Ebola.

Bohuslav Sobotka says passengers who visited Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea in the 42 days before their arrival will have to undergo a medical check at Prague's Vaclav Havel Airport.

All passengers arriving at the airport will have to answer questions about their whereabouts in that period and their travel plans in the Czech Republic.

The measure will start at on Tuesday, even though there are currently no direct flights from West Africa to Prague.

Sobotka also said Wednesday a special military hospital designed to treat the highly infectious disease will be prepared to admit patients.
