Cooper Cos. Shares Drop On Earnings Miss, Outlook

Cooper Cos. shares dropped in the extended session Thursday after the vision care and women's health products company reported quarterly results and an outlook below Wall Street estimates. Cooper shares fell 11% to $126.51. The company posted an adjusted fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $2 a share on revenue of $455.5 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast $2.11 a share on revenue of $474.6 million. For fiscal 2016, Cooper sees adjusted earnings of $7.60 to $7.90 a share on revenue of $1.83 billion to $1.87 billion. Analysts had estimated $8.45 a share on revenue of $1.82 billion.
