Colo. Springs Firefighters Report Active Shooter At Planned Parenthood Clinic

The Colorado Springs, Colo., fire department has responded to reports of an active shooter at the city's Planned Parenthood branch, according to a tweet by the department Friday. The Denver Post reported one police officer wounded in the situation, and that police have blocked roads in the vicinity of the clinic. According to Planned Parenthood's website, the Colorado Springs clinic offers abortion services as well as birth control, pregnancy testing, and general health care, among other services. Colorado Springs is about one hour south of Denver and is home to the U.S. Air Force Academy.
