Beverage giant Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) announced on Wednesday its purchase of Russian juice company Nidan. Though the exact terms of the deal were not disclosed, Coke said the acquisition will strengthen its presence in the Russian market, which it plans to expand by a further $1 billion in the next five years.
Nidan manufactures its products in two production facilities in Moscow and Novosibirsk, and markets its products under the brand names Moya Semya, Da! and Caprice.
Coke will benefit from increased cost-cutting and distribution of products in Russia.
