Casino bus crashes into NYC building, shearing off part of it; at least 9 injuries reported
A casino bus has crashed into a three-story New York City building, shearing off a large part of the facility. At least nine people have been injured, but authorities say none of the injuries appears life-threatening.
The crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. Monday in Queens' Rego Park section.
The bus was from Resorts World Casino but operated by a contractor. The casino didn't say how many people were on board or where the bus was headed when it crashed.
Most of the lower two floors in the rear of the building caved in. A pile of rubble littered the area.
Eight of the injured were believed to have been on board, the other in the building.
Receptionist Fran Ferraro says her office shook when the bus struck.
