Boehner Says House Will Pass Funding Bill Thursday

The House of Representatives will pass a bill on Thursday to fund most of the government through September, Speaker John Boehner said Wednesday. The $1.1 trillion bill would avert a government shutdown if passed by both the House and Senate. The bill funds the Department of Homeland Security only through February, a move Boehner said will allow Republicans next year to confront President Barack Obama's plan to curb deportations for millions of undocumented immigrants.
