Boehner: Obama Would 'poison The Well' With Immigration Orders
Unilateral action by President Barack Obama on immigration would "poison the well" for reforming the country's immigration laws, House Speaker John Boehner said Thursday. Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill, Boehner said Americans have shown they don't want Obama to act alone. In his first news conference after the midterm elections, Boehner pledged the House of Representatives would again vote to repeal Obama's health-care law and said that Republicans want to fix the "broken" U.S. tax code. Obama on Wednesday pledged to take executive actions on immigration by the end of this year.
