Biotechnology companies shares up at the close of trading

Shares of some top biotechnology companies were up at the close of trading:

Amgen Inc. rose $3.05 or 1.9 percent, to $160.33.

Biogen Idec rose $7.27 or 1.7 percent, to $425.36.

Celgene Corp. rose $2.43 or 2.2 percent, to $115.15.

Gilead Sciences Inc. rose $1.18 or 1.2 percent, to $99.87.
