Shares of some top banks companies were up at the close of trading:

Bank of America Corp. rose $.18 or 1.1 percent, to $16.38.

Citigroup Inc. rose $.58 or 1.1 percent, to $51.90.

Goldman Sachs rose $1.91 or 1.0 percent, to $192.22.

JPMorgan Chase rose $1.47 or 2.5 percent, to $60.82.

Morgan Stanley rose $.47 or 1.3 percent, to $36.74.

US Bank rose $.24 or .5 percent, to $44.72.

Wells Fargo rose $.27 or .5 percent, to $55.37.
