Baltimore Mayor Ends Citywide Curfew After 6 Days
A citywide curfew in Baltimore was ended Sunday morning by the mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. "My goal has always been to not have the curfew in place a single day longer than was necessary," she said on Twitter. "I believe we have reached that point today." Rawlings-Blake had imposed a citywide 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew starting Tuesday after riots sparked by the death of Freddie Gray while in police custody. Six police officers were charged Friday in the death.
