Average gas price in Rhode Island falls to $3.60 a gallon; lowest level since April
The average price of gas in Rhode Island has fallen 4 cents to the lowest level since April.
AAA Southern New England's latest price survey, released Monday, found the average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular in the state is $3.60.
Local prices are down 14 cents in the last month. Still, the current price is 10 cents more than the national per-gallon average of $3.50.
Rhode Islanders were paying 17 cents more on average, or $3.77 a gallon, a year ago this week.
The AAA survey found a 40-cent range in prices. The low was $3.46 a gallon. The high was $3.86.
