Apple Products Vulnerable To New Malware: Palo Alto Networks
Palo Alto Networks Inc. said late Wednesday it has discovered an "unprecedented" type of malware that attacks Apple Inc. computers and mobile devices. The malware, dubbed "Wirelurker," is the first known type that infects mobile iOS applications like a traditional virus would and the first to automate generation of iOS applications through binary file replacement, Palo Alto Networks said. Wirelurker can also install third-party applications on non-jailbroken phones and attacks iOS devices through the OS X operating system through a USB link, the company said.
