Airbnb Appoints Hires Former Clinton Adviser As Head Of Global Policy
Airbnb announced Thursday that it hired Chris Lehane, a lawyer with White House ties, as its head of global policy and public affairs. Lehane worked in the Bill Clinton administration and was press secretary for Vice President Al Gore from 1998 through his presidential campaign in 2000. In the role, Airbnb said Lehane will work with policymakers and hosts to advocate for home-sharing. "I know Chris is going to be focused on communicating how the Airbnb platform is helping everyday people and he is excited to help organize our millions of hosts and guests into advocates for the right to home share," the Airbnb blog stated.
