After Tumultuous Week, Stocks Set to Climb

Last week I noted the Dow had reached resistance and needed a rest. Well, that’s exactly what it did, throwing in a neat little roller coaster on Thursday and Friday. But, based on Friday’s return-from-the-dead rally, I think the odds favor further upside, putting me squarely in the “bull” camp.

Two stocks in the news caught my eye. Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) and Toyota (NYSE:TM) both look like buys rather than sells to me.

In short, knowing the news about a company is often only part of the story. The rest can often be gleaned from the charts.
