Hooters is partnering with a sports betting website and an advertising company to help diners in some states enjoy a side of gambling with their chicken wings.
The restaurant chain’s locations in Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania now have KonekTV televisions displaying key game stats, analytics and odds for the betting site BetRivers, Hooters of America announced Thursday. The TVs will also show ads in addition to the betting info.

To bet on games, diners can use BetRivers’ Sportsbook Android app or its website on iOS devices, according to Hooters. And Hooters customers are eligible for BetRivers’ $300 deposit match bonus.
“We love enhancing the guest experience in any way we can, from best-in-class food and service to top-notch entertainment,” Terry Marks, Hooters of America CEO, said in a press release. “Partnering with KonekTV allows us to bring a whole new world of opportunities to our guests and creates another reason as to why Hooters is the ultimate hangout spot.”
So why is the new feature only available at Hooters in three states? Hooters of America is the brand’s franchisor and operates 410 restaurants in 38 states and 24 countries. But Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are the only states where BetRivers’ mobile sports betting service is currently legal, according to Matt Stetz, COO at its parent company, Rush Street Interactive.

“We have a range of innovation planned for how to drive activations and engagement at retail locations such as Hooters,” Stetz said in a press release.
Sports betting is allowed in at least 14 states, and several more states have passed sports betting bills and are preparing to allow it.
More than $17 billion has been legally wagered on sports since May 2018, according to the American Gaming Association, a casino industry trade organization. The group is expecting a record 26 million Americans to wager on the Super Bowl this year.
