Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos did not let the relentless headlines about the alleged hacking of his phone keep him from hosting an exclusive gathering of some of the nation's richest and most powerful at his Washington, D.C., mansion on Saturday night.
Bezos' relationship with girlfriend Lauren Sanchez has been front and center following a report that she shared texts with her brother detailing their affair, which her brother then sold to the National Enquirer.
"Yes, Lauren Sanchez was there," journalist Yashar Ali wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
Prior to that report, one popular narrative in the ongoing mystery was that Bezos had been targeted by the Saudi government because of criticism published in The Washington Post, which he owns.
Bezos' guests arrived after the exclusive Alfalfa Club Dinner, a century-old tradition. His guests also included actor Ben Stiller, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, former Defense Secretary James Mattis and Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo.
Bezos bought the mansion, the former Textile Museum, for $23 million in 2016. His neighbors include Barack and Michelle Obama, as well as Ivanka Trump and Kushner.
FOX Business' James Leggate and Megan Henney contributed to this report.
