Lockheed Martin launches international arm
Lockheed Martin , the Pentagon's biggest supplier by sales, has launched an arm focused on growing the defense contractor's global business, it said on Monday.
The new unit, to be called Lockheed Martin International, will be led by Patrick Dewar, who will be LMI's executive vice president, the company said. Dewar is currently Lockheed's senior vice president for corporate strategy and business development.
Lockheed made about 17 percent of its $47 billion of revenue abroad in 2012, or $8 billion, and expects to exceed its current goal of 20 percent, Dewar told Reuters last month in an interview.
