What Is Sports Illustrated's 2011 Cover Girl Wearing?

unknown

Russian-born beauty Irina Shayk learned last night on the "David Letterman Show" she was picked as the 2011 cover girl for Sports Illustrated’s iconic Swimsuit Issue. While a year has passed since the photo shoot, at which the models change in and out of many suits, Shayk said she didn’t forget the one that landed with her on the cover.

“I never get to see the photos when we take them, but I remembered the swimsuit,” she told Matt Lauer and Meredith Viera on this morning’s edition of “The TODAY Show.”

On the cover, Shayk is pictured on the beach in Hawaii in a tiny pink and yellow bikini by Elizabeth Southwood for Sauvage.

The 25-year-old model has been featured regularly in the issue since 2007, but this is the first time she has been featured on the cover. Although Shayk and all of the issue’s models are photographed in countless swimsuits, she said on the morning talk show that her cover suit stuck out to her as a favorite.

While there is no guarantee you will look like Shayk in the teeny bikini, it can be purchased at the Sauvage Swimwear store at 7717 Formula Place in San Diego, Calif. or online at www.sauvagewear.com. Elizabeth Southwood for Sauvage suits retail for between $150 and $300 in the store and online. The suit is also available at www.everythingbutwater.com and www.gobananasbeachwear.com.
