Small Business of the Day: Sparetire Design

Who: Jessica Gattone, 33, @SparetireDesign

What: Custom logo, print and web designs

When: 2011

How: Gattone, a graphic and media designer by trade, was freelancing for eight years before launching Sparetire Design. She designed invitations for a few weddings at the request of family and friends, and it took off from there. Gattone now makes original and custom designs for many different clients, including businesses.

“A lot of my clients are word of mouth, especially the brides,” she said. “I love to work with small business owners and entrepreneurs, and I can provide them with everything they need to advertise.”

In her own words: “My designs are unique from what’s out there, and I go for natural and organic designs. I listen to my clients’ needs and find a way to satisfy those needs with smart and classic design solutions.”
