Who: Co-owner, Matt Phillips, 33, @saveyourskintan

What: An airbrush-only tanning salon

When: October 2011

How: Matt's wife, Theresa Phillips, is a registered nurse working in oncology, and saw the effects of melanoma and skin damage on many patients.

"She was a sun worshipper for years,” Matt said. “[We] started researching a way to have a safer alternative and still look good."

They discovered Norvell products and became certified to provide airbrush tans and opened their business just last month.

Where: Green, Ohio

In his own words: "We focus on the safety aspect of the product; it’s a really good alternative from tanning beds."
