PepsiCo Names New Head of Americas Drinks Unit
PepsiCo Inc has tapped a company veteran to head its flagship beverage unit in the Americas.
Albert Carey, who has been with PepsiCo for 30 years, most recently as chief executive of its Frito-Lay North America unit since 2006, takes the reins of the unit immediately, PepsiCo said Wednesday.
Massimo d'Amore, who has been leading PepsiCo Beverages Americas, will keep responsibility for the Gatorade and Tropicana businesses in North America and the Latin American beverage business.
Tom Greco will succeed Carey as head of Frito-Lay North America.
PepsiCo also said that Eric Foss, chief executive officer of one of its major operating divisions, Pepsi Beverages Co, will retire effective December 9. (Reporting by Phil Wahba, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
