Donald Trump may have angered many in the black community during his campaign, but NFL legend Jim Brown said the now President-elect was misunderstood.
“He meant well, but it’s the way that he phrased it, that people resented it, but he was right on,” said Brown to the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney.
In his opinion, black Americans need to “reexamine who they are” and added that the black community needs to take better care of itself by being more responsible.
“He’s accepting what we are presenting and his people, his advisors have accepted that. So we are going to work together to help this community be a better community and help this country be a better country,” he said.
