Goldman Sachs CFO Viniar To Retire
Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) said Tuesday that long-time chief financial officer David Viniar is retiring.
Harvey Schwartz, the global co-head of the Securities Division, will become CFO at the end of January 2013.
Viniar served 32-years at the investment banking giant, the last 12 as CFO.
Goldman Sachs said Viniar will join the board of directors as a non-independent director following his retirement.
In a statement, Goldman Sachs said it expects to appoint additional independent directors to the board “in the near term.”
