Elevator Pitch: Brooklinen’s Idea for Better Linens

In an “elevator pitch,” Rich Fulop will be presenting his business idea on Risk & Reward on Friday. Fulop will be making the case for Greenpoint, Brooklyn-based Brooklinen, which aims to provide “high-quality bedding at an affordable price.”

Fulop says he founded Brooklinen “in order to provide an easier, better and smarter way to buy home goods.” He says that his business makes the consumer experience better by having a “simple and customer-friendly website, a transparent business model, a curated offering and relationships directly with factories to cut out the middlemen markups.”

Fulop will be pitching this idea to judges Alicia Syrett, Pantegrion Capital CEO; Charles Hudson, SoftTech venture partner; and Brian Rich, Catalyst investors co-founder and managing partner.

Brooklinen has not yet raised funding, but Fulop says the company has recently begun the process of meeting with venture capitalists.
