Disney Adds Nike CEO Parker to Its Board

Walt Disney Co. on Monday said it has added Mark G. Parker, chief executive of Nike Inc., to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Mr. Parker is slated to stand for election along with the company's other directors at its annual meeting on March 3 in Chicago, Disney said. Mr. Parker's appointment brings the total number of board members to 12.

Mr. Parker has served as CEO and president of Nike since January 2006. He joined Nike as one of the company's first footwear designers in 1979.
