Curt Schilling Eyeing Sen. Elizabeth Warren's Job
First the bullpen, then ESPN, and now, Curt Schilling could be heading to the beltway. He joined the FOX Business Network’s Mornings with Maria to discuss his potential run for office.
“I’m thinking about it… Ultimately it comes down to what my wife says, but yeah it’s something I’m seriously considering,” he said.
The former Boston Red Sox pitcher criticized Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren describing her as a “Wall Street girl” and then explained why he wants to unseat her.
“I think above all else political office is about leading. It’s about being able to relay and take a message [and] as a Senator your job is to go to Washington, [and] take the concerns of your constituents in the state. I’m clearly not establishment. I think I have a firm grasp of how it works and an understanding of issues and I also look at someone like Elizabeth Warren as one of the reasons why politically we are in the quagmire we are in,” he said.
Schilling, known for his epic ‘bloody sock’ performance during the 2004 ALCS against the New York Yankees, also discussed Donald Trump’s ‘locker room talk’ tape.
“First of all half of the stuff he says is a lie, which is what guys do. A lot of guys growing up or older guys will brag about things and exploits that have never happened to be funny, to be cool. And when you listen to the conversation that’s exactly what it was,” he said.
