Claman on Call: Back to Business as Usual in Hong Kong?

It was a turbulent trading day, the markets were on the decline during the morning session, but looked like they might be heading for a comeback. However, in the last hour of trading, the market rebound started to fade -- the Dow ended the day down just a bit, the S&P 500, Nasdaq and Russell 2,000 ended in the green.

Oil also had a wild day -- the contract at one point traded below $90, hitting a low of $88.18 -- but managed to come back, climbing above $91 at the close.

And will it be back to business as usual in Hong Kong tomorrow? Our man on the ground, Steve Bernstein, Sinopac CEO, says that even though some protesters are remaining in the occupied area, many are leaving to return to work following China's National Day holiday.

Micha Benoliel, Open Garden CEO, also joined FOX Business. The company owns the app FireChat, and Benoliel says over the last two days there have been more than 300,000 downloads of the app. It allows protesters to communicate without using a wireless network ... meaning communications can't be easily jammed.

Head to FOXBusiness.com/OnCall to hear what he says is next for the app.

And a type of meat so environmentally friendly billionaire Bill Gates is a backer -- Ethan Brown, Beyond Meat founder and CEO, joined FOX Business to talk about the plant-based protein that looks, feels and tastes like meat, which his company created. Brown says he hopes to bring his product straight to the deli counter, instead of the health food aisle.

Now, here is what you need to watch for tomorrow: 8:30 a.m. ET, the latest employment data come out, and all eyes will be on non-farm payrolls, after disappointing August numbers. Also out at that time, International Trade figures. And finally at 10 a.m. ET, ISM non-manufacturing data are released.
