Claman on Call: A Day for the Bears
It was a day for the bears -- the Dow fell more than 264 points. And both the Dow and the Nasdaq had their worst day since July 31. Despite today's Jewish holiday, and expectations of thin trading, volume was still 8% above the one-month average.
But it's not all bad news: Joe Henricks, Ford Motor Co.'s President of the Americas joined FBN and he announced that the automaker has fulfilled its pledge to create 12,000 new jobs in the U.S. by 2015. And another company that's creating jobs: Service brewing. It's a startup brewery that employs former servicemen and women. Co-founder and CEO Kevin Ryan, a West Point grad and Military vet, discussed the issue of veteran unemployment, as well as plans to expand his brewery and be profitable.
Now, here is what you need to watch for tomorrow: At 8:30 a.m. ET, the second estimate for second-quarter GDP comes out. Then at 9:55 a.m. ET, consumer sentiment numbers are released.
