Boeing, GE Finalize 777 Deal
Boeing Co (NYSE:BA) said on Wednesday it finalized an order with leasing and financing firm GE Capital Aviation Services for 10 extended-range 777 planes worth about $2.8 billion at list prices.
In a statement, GECAS, a unit of General Electric (NYSE:GE), said the new 777-300ER aircraft would help meet rising demand for long-haul passenger planes.
With the latest announcement, GECAS has ordered 53 of the widebody 777s, including 41 777-300ER models.
The planes under order can carry 365 passengers up to 7,930 nautical miles. (Reporting by Karen Jacobs; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)
