Alex Rodriguez referenced Jennifer Lopez’s new song “El Anillo,” or “The Ring,” when asked about a future marriage proposal to the actress and singer.
“I will tell you this. She came out with a great, great song ‘Anillo.’ I think it went up to one or two [in the charts],” Rodriguez, the retired Major League Baseball star, said during an interview with FOX Business’ Charlie Gasparino on Monday.
Lopez, also known as J.Lo, premiered the Spanish-language hit song with a surprise performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday. The song’s official music video has reached close to nine million views on YouTube.
“She has another song ‘Dinero’ (‘Money’) that’s going to be mind-blowing, and you should hear it,” Rodriguez said.
The 14-time Major League Baseball All-Star and 2009 World Series Champion with the New York Yankees is participating in a panel at the 21st Annual Milken Institute Global Conference addressing the role of men and their support of women in business.
